Fun rowdy vibe for some late night drinks! It's a pub so there's tv screens everywhere with games on. Lots of folks conversing and having a good time. It was right in our hotel so it's easy to stop by, have some drinks and food and walk up to your room.
The bar was a great environment. The bar tender offered recommendations for good . The noise level was average for a bar . The cod fish was served hot and savory. It was fried just right . The pretzel may look dark. But, the taste was awesome!
I stayed at the Hilton for a conference and unfortunately the catered food was disappointing. We all opted to have dinner at Kitty's instead and enjoyed the food much more. The Mac and cheese and wings were amazing - the fries is another item you must try. There was quite a bit of us and the server did a good job wrangling us in.
Visited in January 2024. Excellent staff, attentive service, definitely Irish pub vibe.
We went to Kitty O'Sheas. It was a cute space. We were lucky to be staying at the Hilton with access to an Irish Bar on St. Paddy's day! Place was packed. The servers were working their behinds off. They hired in a live band to play Irish music and they were really good! Food was typical bar food. Their pretzel was VERY GOOD. Highly recommend.
The staff is friendly, food is good (not great) but food comes out fast. The first time eating here, I had the cast iron ribeye which looked and tasted more like it was baked but still good. The second time eating here, I had the broiled white fish which was overcooked and the lobster chimichurri didn't have much lobster and wasn't even chimichurri - it seemed more like they dropped a couple of microscopic pieces of lobster on it (there were 2 small pieces which combined was smaller than the size of a q-tip head)
Typical pub fare from the oldest pub in Chicago. This is the place to spend st Patrick's day hands down! Located in the Chicago Hilton hotel Full bar and great potato soup Servers are great
Came here for brunch this past weekend. The food was de-lic-ious! We split the churro eclairs to start. Not sure I got 'churro' from them, now that I think about it, but they were very good. They're small, so easy to share, and they are filled. The dipping sauces are also good. I got the Croque O'Sheas for my main course. Wow, that was maybe one of the best things I've ever eaten. It's a loooooot of food, so good thing I was hungry. One minor issue is that at times it was a little hard to cut through the bread, but I was able to do it. I also got a side of crispy hashbrowns, which are McDonald's style and I loved that. It's seat yourself, and when we were there there were plenty of seats. However, beware the late morning sun, as it rendered some of the booths near the window unusable because it was way too warm (and someone would get blinded). We started in one booth and quickly realized this, and were able to move to another booth no problem. Service was a little on the slow side (there were only two people working the whole place), but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't really an issue for us. I would certainly go back for that croque!
The food here is good. Plain Irish pub type foods. The Mac and Cheese was a good choice. Filling and tasty. Place is a bit loud for my taste, but it's an Irish pub so what do ya expect? Service was fast and friendly. Food comes out SUPER fast. Overall a good choice for a late night bite.
